@DaDoomslayer dark elves are common in fantasy settings like this, in dungeons and dragons, in books (Drizzt Do’Urden for example, has like 40+ books about that dark elf), Norse mythology had dark sylves but called them dwarves, but my point is they are not a new thing, and their skin is dark to reflect that they are evil and are usually found in lightless areas.
