Fat is excess energy that your body stores from the food you consume, if you don’t use that energy it becomes fat.
I know its a fantasy world but I am assuming that it burns the fat on your body (excess energy) but its not going to start taking away muscles and such. Its only a theory and I’m sure the author hasn’t thought about the scientifical aspect of it. Idk my guess is that it removes extra fat on your body at that is it.
There is a reason that you can only eat 10 per hour aswell I’d assume
