@Ruhi14 I think he did it because of his previous line “because it is not time yet” though that doesn’t make it any better. I hate when authors constantly dragging things out like this. They could just admit there feelings for each other but collectively agree that “now” isn’t the right time to move forward but just acknowledge it so they (and us) can quit being overly distracted with each other and their own feelings so the plot still moves forward.
