The reason this story feels good is that it is kind of tight.
There are few repeats in story arcs.
The elephant in the room (emotionally dense, somewhat irresponsible emperor who thinks everything’s fine until blatant violent abuse is shoved in his face and his wife tells him straight to his face IN PUBLIC that she’s leaving him and taking their son with her).
It’s kind of fluffy, but it’s clear what the author set out to do and they got the job done.
It also makes human beings of most of the characters, and doesn’t focus too hard on the irredeemably of certain personalities. The moment Gilles realizes Maryanne’s a waste of his time, she’s gone from the story. The moment Count (?) Lorens proves himself irredeemable, without any capability to grow as a character, he’s gone.
The lesson of the story is to salvage all the beauty and goodness you can, and “ring the bells that still can ring”.

My god , after sucha long time I found a good like really really good manhwa in historical romance genre
Because now a days what’s happening they are showing filth i mean more intimate moments which is not required to much because it’s the story that a person want to see and not their fucking scenes
And this manhwa just stood upto the expectations really good
Not to long not to short I read this today only which is good.
