I don’t feel bad for that guy just lying there and suffering.
He postponed making ML crown prince because he thought he could get more competition between the princes. He postponed MC’s engagement annulment because he thought that if he dangled it in front of her she would work hard for it.
Basically, she was running around doing the things he was supposed to do. He was supposed to find the cure and provide help and relief, but those things were done by MC. He’s just taking credit.
So I hope he suffers more.
