The story seems interesting so far. Same cliche of a father neglecting his daughter, the stepmother being evil trying to kill a child, an oblivious big brother etc, etc. The Duke does seem like some the princess can trust and hopefully get her out of there because being surrounded by fake people and people that foolishly believe in a rumor is not good.
