Wow, another author who needs the crutch called 2nd ML to push the main couple together. How groundbreaking. 🙄

I think that 2nd ML exist just to make main ML jealous, or maybe to show how charming the MC is. But I also think it’s silly to add them in every story. I don’t like seeing good characters a) heartbroken or b) turned into mindless villains.

Is there an unwritten rule that there has to be a 2nd ML? Does anyone actually enjoy when this happens? The reality is we already know who she’s going to end up with. The only thing this does is pretend to cause tension by making her appear less than honorable with her current commitment.
