Clodan grows up seeing all his loved ones die at a young age. He felt helpless then. To him love is something you have to fight more and manipulate to keep so it makes sense that he imprisons so no one can take her from him, and turns her into a vampire as insurance that she will never ever die like their parents did. It’s how he thinks love is. No one’s ever taught him otherwise. He’s more traumatized than ray in most ways
