Arthur being an inconsistent tool. Did a complete 180 to cut in when she confronted Virion about not telling her after he himself highlighted it. Weird dialogue. Better ways to create that point of tension of Arthur trying to baby Tess during war. Also no scene of Arthur mourning Goodsky.
I would have split those two moments up where Arthur, Tess, and Gramps have a moment together sharing in their grief over Cynthia, sharing a few personal stories about her and everything she’s done for each of them. Have it be a beautiful tribute to a great character. I’d then use that as the point of tension where Arthur starts becoming increasingly overprotective of Tess in his growing fear of losing another person, leading to the blow up they had where Arthur unconsciously asserts the length of his past life memories.
