@killstavers that would involve actually using his brain. The author also said they can’t draw mana when in static void so it’s another of the many gaping plot holes. He also could have frozen the dude when he had a hold of him or used wind to divert the trajectory of the spikes (science bruh), but all that would be more interesting than what we’re getting. How can the spike guy fly? Why can’t Arthur? Why does he need Sylvie for flight other than aura? Letting anyone other than perhaps the best wind mages fly was a poor artistic decision. Why can some dude that creates metal / dark spikes fly? Is he a white core?
Why did Aya even have to fight Olfred so thoroughly when one communication scroll to Adir that they confirmed he was working with the Alacryans could have released the bond? Use one of those beads they used for Aya but Adir even. Why risk her getting hurt in a final confrontation after trying to extract information?
