Agreed with x3clipse. It’s easy to drop complete shit and keep going with great writing but when it ping pongs like this, there’s nothing wrong with voicing criticism. If you don’t want people to be confused, maybe don’t have Windsom tell Arthur the only way the mages of Dicathen will have a chance is by him going to the land of Asuras. Windsom taught him one shit spell in mirage step, which the scythe saw through anyway. He learned better unarmed combat, which he hasn’t used in a single battle with the retainers; he self-taught himself burst step, which he can’t even use, and only by accident did he learn more about Realmheart. Meanwhile Wren taught him for a year to go all out in broader battle and he’s only participated in a single battle in the war. What did Arthur return with that has “saved the mages of Dicathen”? There ain’t shit. This dude showed up and stomped on an S-class dungeon by himself and is now getting clowned by 4 people even with Realmheart.
There is no consistency and there is no methodical or thoughtful scaling.
