The Bloodstained Margrave’s Confession - Chapter 4

This annoys me, so I’m not reading further. If anyone is checking the comments just know this:
The Main Female Character takes responsibility for being ‘indifferent’ to her duties when she was literally abused by the head maid and made to stay in her room. This is so incredibly annoying.

Not because she’s saying it or anything, but because it’s a contradiction. Could she blame herself for not stepping up sooner, sure. But saying you were ‘indifferent’ is contradictory to the backstory of being abused and thrown back into her room by her hair if she left it.

It’s not only annoying because it implies abuse victims just need to suck it up and stand up for themselves, but it’s also just plain bad writing.
