Some of y’all really can’t handle a complex character. She’s purposefully being aloof and standoffish not because she’s inherently a bitch but because she’s trying to keep her distance. She thinks it’ll lessen the pain later on (and make Carcel cheat, as part of her plan).
Also I think everyone’s forgetting Carcel wasn’t great to her before getting married. Why *should* she trust that he’s a good man? He’s only just started proving himself, he needs time to win her trust.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like the FL much. To me, she’s beautiful, but uncommunicative, impersonable, and untrusting. Even if her tragic backstory provides the cause, that doesn’t make her any more attractive. I’m just hoping she’ll warm up eventually.
