   I recommend this manhwa because it’s different from what I usually read. I’m excited to see what happens next, especially if Paula will ever confront James about what happened to the Count. I’m also curious to see if she finds a love interest, whether it’s the Count or Lucas. Who knows? But I’m definitely invested in seeing how the story unfolds! the artwork is also not bad.

   10/10 I recommend this manhwa. I’m currently still reading it and am up to date, and I was so stoked that I also read the novel as well.

   -First of all, this is such a good break from otome reincarnation stories that predominantly take up the historical romance manhwa genre. It’s extremely unique. A lot of people complain because the main character isn’t actually “ugly”. I’d say so too. She is quite beautifully illustrated, if I do say so myself. But what are the standards of being an ugly or beautiful character, anyway? Her being “ugly” is a part of her character, allowing the author to delve into such deep topics. This leads me to my next point.

   -The amount of depth in the characters: Our main character, Paula, has such a complex character, yet with with Vincent we can see her true self. Of course, with such a well made character, she had flaws and insecurities that she will grow out of. Same with Vincent. After being thrown into an unpredictable world— he is at a loss of words. It is devastating. Both Paula’s story and Vincent’s. And all they can be is afraid. Paula is afraid of being seen, while Vincent is afraid of not being able to see. While the two are externally in completely different worlds: their struggles are more similar than they think. With these two perspectives– two completely different lives, we can see that despite the differences, two people can help each other grow, love, and live again.

   If you’re into deep topics such as trauma, misfortune and grief: you’ll love watching these characters grow. It’s such a refreshing read. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.
