I see what they are doing
They are adopting orphans and helping the poor so that they don’t betray the church then they teach them about the god and religion
After that they take a few selected ones to the main church where they force them to abide their wrongful missions and they also threaten them and the church would kill his/her friends and like that brainwashed them

Now I get it they are trying to make children into priest and priestess so that in name of moving them to other church they can either traffic ther or brain wash the . A reminder it’s not a spoiler but a speculation.
