She’s putting like 10 percent trust in Diabel because it’s a reflex. She’s not ‘stupid’ for trusting in a demon, she knows he can’t be trusted, she just has an instinct of 13 YEARS that she can’t put down yet. Also, he’s the only one she CAN rely on because both people with her right now are ENEMIES and Diabel at least wants her alive to be entertaining.
Not to mention the whining about ‘why isn’t she fighting’… becuase it’s thirteen years earlier and her BODY couldn’t handle it, that’s why. Her body in this time isn’t honed like it was thirteen years in the future.
She would pick up a sword, swing it maybe once or twice and immediately keel over with her body untrained. Even with the knowledge, the body work is IMPORTANT.
