@Chirkut If you’re talking about the Disney animated movie that was partly based off of the original French version. Plus there’s way more American version out there than Disney. Infact there’s close to a 100 different Cinderella style movies out there from America and that’s not even includeding written stories. There’s even one about Elmo. Plus the 1989 movie “Ever After” has a rather similar family set up, where one stepsister is heavier set and is picked on by her older sister and ends up being Danielle’s(she’s Cinderella), friend and helping getting back at the older stepsister and stepmother. So it looks like the Korean author you soo want to praise actually took the idea from an American version.
