Also MC can/will totally beat that guy. So he doesn’t really need help, it’ll work out for him in the end.

MC can’t ask the professors for help because they don’t trust him. Plus one of them thinks he’s the spy, so he’s kinda on his own. In addition, he can’t explain how he knows the details of the other guy without exposing that he’s not from that world. Maybe there was an alternative way to do it, but isn’t really that stupid.

idk i feel like mc is a lil stupid. if he wants to wipe him out, he could use a help of a professor, for him to hide somewhere and when mc makes the spy spill the beans he can hear it. but it looks like mc has other motives such as getting close to the spy. but he is doing it by provoking him and beating him afterwards? that is just straight up stupid.
