@TheHeretic As an aspiring writer who looks at such minor details quite closely myself when reading other stories:
Most authors in the reincarnation genre follow the trend of “wrote only enough for the story to push forward” which is a mindset that makes it so, at worst, the author knows nothing of what’s part of his world that isn’t on paper and, at best, the author had the idea for such a storyline in the back of his mind for only a moment before deciding that detail wasn’t even important enough to remember, much less put on paper.

Hmm. I like the story, but parts like these do make me wonder how involved he was as a writer in the story. I just can’t see the reason he wouldn’t know that something happened to the house of greed. Will he reveal in the next chapter that he always knew, but pretends not to? Are some parts of the story changing without his knowledge? I can get that maybe unimportant character details can be beyond his knowledge, but this time it sounds like an integral part of the story he should’ve known about if he was writing it.
