Because that’s what abuse *does* to a person. You learn to not question any kindness, even if it’s shouldn’t be seen as appropriate. You simply accept it and get scared that if you think about it too hard or ask them about it, the kindness will dissappear.
As for the shoulders thing… what co fierce? We’ve seen how the abuse and the recently discovered news she’s not their daughter has destroyed any semblance of confidence. She probably learned to take up as little space as possible to go u noticed as long as possible. Being out of sight, out of mind means you won’t be hurt, after all.
Honestly I think she’s one of the most realistic depictions of an abuse victim in a manhwa

Why isn’t she aware that the “proxy” is being too close with her even touching her. If she really is intelligent why did she not research about her husband’s look or notice that the proxy exudes aura fitting for a noble? also, she should straighten her shoulders to exude confidence
