I get why people are calling her annoying, however failing to understand that her “elitist nature” is genuinely her is wrong.

After a life of being looked down on she won’t allow anyone to look down on her. That’s not her personality but a trauma response. It’s the same reason she ran away because she was having a panic attack just thinking that someone may look down on or pity her. Ffs an adult told her to go tell her father that they should give up being mages. She’s been traumatized by both her family’s burden and others scorn.
