The colour is wrong, but the style of the dress for the time isn’t far off. It’s just really ugly. The book “Victorian Fashions & Costumes from Harper’s Bazar 1867-1898” show even uglier dresses.

@Sassyjones27 her dresses are absolutely terrible, she needs to fire her seamstresses. That one with the multiple yellow bows from a few chapters ago, Quite literally made me dry heave. I did not think that that was actually possible, I’ve always thought that that was just a turn of phrase, but for the first time I’ve now actually experienced it…
