I’m beyond disgusted with the empress. She knew from the beginning the emperor only wanted her for power. Then gets mad when he holds up only what they AGREED TO IN THE FIRST PLACE. This jealous and entitled bitch can’t take things not going her way so she lashes out by poisoning consorts. She gets called out for her immature pettiness and then gets worse to the point of no return. I can’t wait to see this bitch and her puppets burn. I’ve seen evil, but this is super evil.

Quick note: the Emperor cannot do anything because all his power is borrowed. He married for power from his wives’s families and their connections. It’s how he managed to become Emperor. But they all supported the empress’s claim to have FL’s mother killed. His only fault was for digging himself into this hole in the first place. Because of this, he could not protect the only woman he ever loved (and by extension their child). It’s pathetic and pitiful.
