When I read the last vignettes, the Jasmine Masters meme came to mind: “oh lord, again? 🤦🏻♀️ …” I mean, the st*pid brat sacrifices herself so that the f*cking duke can free himself from the demonic contract, for what? for him to ruin it and repeat the same thing? I’m already getting tired of this story and its protagonists.

I see what you guys in the comments are saying, but this guy has made it clear with Anissa multiple times that he only cares about her and didn’t care that he was dying. She was his driving force and doesn’t see a point in a life without her. He also made it clear that he’s very much against the idea of her sacrificing herself. Just as him dying hurts Anisa, losing her is what’s hurting him.
