Laughable at this point even Nerys enemies put up some kind of fight but this girl is straight up brainless. I just wanna see how this plan will fail miserably.💀

This plan would only work if the Duke was a lustful and foolish man, which he is neither.
I cannot overlook the fact that they came up and put in motion this “Grand Plan” without even having the relevant information pertaining to said parties!?! They’ve done no research into Nerys background to the point they don’t even know who her parents are why she has jewelled eyes,, on how she got the position of advisor at such a young age, with no blood ties, gained favour over ALL the acting lords, and prevented the coup they themselves implemented all in a matter of months! Nevermind NO research into the Duke, because they would’ve clearly noticed he has kept no other women close his entire life, other than Nerys.
How can you be so incompetent and stupid to think THIS of all your schemes would be the one to succeed. The only other one that had a margin of success, was the assassination attempt, solely due to the element of surprise. You had him stabbed directly in the abdomen and yet you still somehow failed!
The resemblance Haricot has to the late Duchess is the only part of this foley of a plan I will give them credit for. Sure, acting on the emotional bonds of those who knew her is great, but not when they have no sway in your target, the Dukes decisions of how he treats you. The fact that he didn’t even acknowledge Haricot’s presence on their first meeting should’ve been the BIGGEST indicator this will all fail. Not even a little startle was given of the uncanny similarities.
All in all, at least with the school girls you could chalk up their incompetence to age, and in this instance, I can’t think of a reasonable excuse.
I am enjoying this plot, don’t get me wrong, this is a lengthy observation based on passion, not distaste. I just hope they Nerys and the Duke will encounter a more worthy opponent later on.
