This story is very annoying and confusing. Firstly it’s reasonable to be angry. 100%. The issue I take is the main character is very hypocritical. Sure she worked hard to become the best princess she could be, but the very reason she was there at the start had nothing to do with her hard work, courtesy or personality. She was chosen from the prophecy. She only knew the crown prince because of the prophecy. The way the power works in the royal is only because the of the prophecy. Of course if it changes the prince may follow suit and her as well. Unless they want to fight the very structure that the royals exist they must follow the prophecy. If a new girl is chosen for the prophecy, that girl is in the same situation she was when she was younger. Of course if the girl lied about the prophecy it’s reasonable to point that out. But that’s not the case from main characters perspective. She legit doesn’t know. The new girl herself from the story is simply arrogant from her perspective and taking what belonged to her. It legitimately just sounds like she’s just young and has no experience. So if your perspective is she was chosen from the very prophecy you were chosen, what exactly is your beef with her? From your perspective she wasn’t born to screw you over. From your perspective she’s chosen too just as you were. Another thing is prince himself is kinda shitty that is true, but he is simply following his responsibility. He is soon to be king. His country should come first, although its romantic for the lover to come first, he didn’t break the marriage as well to screw her over. My only issue with him is he just doesn’t say his feelings in full and think of this from her perspective. She loved her entire life to become queen someday and that just got taken away just like that. Like he lived his whole life to become king too. How can you not understand her perspective. I wish he would just have a heartfelt conversation with her about this, but he just can’t see himself there for some reason. Were these two ever actually in love. Sounds like BS to me. Her plan is also very very stupid. If you hurt the power at the very top, you have to be prepared to replace it. Her family just doesn’t have the same legitimisation that the royal family does. It’ll just be unsustainable to even try to remove the royal family or undermine it in any way, especially if the reason has nothing to do with how the country is doing. A lot of people who have nothing to do with the situation will get hurt. There’s just no good guys in this story. Just random bs
