@Chakuku It’s not the use of rumours that she finds childish – it’s the rumours themselves. The FL is targeting the new Princess with specific rumours related to the history of her family, as well as specifically trying to stir up the common people and the temple.
The “childish” rumours of the new Princess are simply that the “old Princess is a mean and unsociable” – which will harm the FLs standing with the noble ladies, but not much else. The FLs rumours could remove the new Princess’s financial support from the Temple as well as positioning a potential uprising of the people if they continue to believe that she’s murdering kids from the slums to stay looking young.

I get her being upset but spreading and perpetuating rumors about the spoiled princess makes you look worse in my eyes. It was a ploy to get you by the priest and the prince the one who took the bait and gave his ass to kiss. By all means that doesn’t mean I like the girl but there’s a long list of ppl who needs that energy.
