It s 19th ctry Europe based story. You could ask a divorce as a woman, but you would lose everything and would have to retire from polite society when the man could go one with his life as if nothing ever happened.
You can hate Bjorn all you want, but he was raised this way: hide emotions, never explain yourself because a king does not. He was crown prince.
He accepted a huge humiliation and blame for his country benefit, which no one gives him credit for.
He s not a good man, but if you compare to his game buddy he s not the worst and they are typical “gentlemen”.
Also Bjorn was to marry for politics, not love…
Erna is wayyy too naive from A to Z. She s a country bumpkin and she got caught in the capital games, but she should have been raised to be less naive after what her mom had endured.
Lot of people at fault, but once more, it s 19th century, not 21st century. If you can t take this into consideration maybe you should read something else

i can understand hatred towards this ml, but pls let’s not forget it’s asian manhwa about some 18ish centuries setting. Like… how can we expect any of characters behave like they are a feminist and a man who worked on his psychological issues in group therapy. I agree it looks degrading, but it’s quite logical with this circumstances. But if author will let it slide and Erna will be so happy again for no reason, im gonna drop it i guess…

From now i think i can witness how bajron use all kind of things to win her back and i hate the fuvking author for making all this story creepy asf and making this women naivee….. hopefully in real life many women just learn the lesson and divorce these mfs and never come back… i pray for a day women will learn to let go
