He didn’t do anything to called jerk . In real life people usually can forget birthday or anniversary. Fl should at least told her maid about her birthday or reminder ml about his promises. Don’t forget ml is a prince and isn’t it common for him to be full of himself. He s not the best ML possible, but, damn… you all seem to forget the environment he was born and grew up in, what kind of people were around, and most importantly what kind of person his ex wife is!!! He has really no clue how to deal with someone like Erna because she s hiding nothing, plots nothing, even though she is from a noble family. Do you really think a country girl raised in honesty would be well treated by city rich guys? Good people are not that easy to come by in certain circles!
