That’s a real scumbag move there😖.
He’s knowingly using his power, influence and looks to hold her hostage.
She’s an older female vergin, whose hormones have probably run rampant on her multiple times over the years and he knows that and uses it against her!
Follow it up with her being in a much lower position in society making it difficult for her to even make any refusals without having a backer that can compete against him which limits her options to other Dukes or the royal family themselves!
What are the chances of her receiving their help seriously!
Add in the information that he just shared she’s now tied up with possibly getting charged with treason against either the royal family or the Duke’s family, ether way would be a death sentence for her if others were to become aware. The Duke could directly blame her and get himself scot free from the incident, or have her charged for slander. Wether she cooperates or not she could die.
The only survival route left for her now would be to obey him and make the swap and avoid anyone catching her followed by him not betraying her.
That is relying upon luck and then his trustworthiness, which is damn low because he’s pushed her into this corner in the first place! 😡🤬😤
