I hope it will develop more later so far the MC is kind of contradicting. She was mentioned as smart and composed. She didn’t get hostility from a child, and as a smart person wouldn’t she be angry at mother instead knowing where the root cause is? Also, this marriage sounds like a win to be honest, she will leave the house and empress title? Like it’s a way to make any revenge having such power.

If you were abused as a child both verbally and mentally, you would definitely become warped, especially if you are being replaced & your replacement will take all of your hard work.
