I keep debating on dropping this because it’s not getting better but it’s not horrible enough yet.. well it is horrible but I’m just sticking around. He calls his commander a childish but then says “I’m not that skilled” after he’s scored top in the class because of using magic. He’s been arrogant from the start but says he’s not the skilled? Why? Is it so he can then be skilled and make himself look better? That’s childish. Nobody ever questions why he’s able to do anything and just accept his lame excuses. Magic isn’t an unknown force in this world yet no one thinks “is he using magic?” Just a bunch of stupidity. Also blatantly disrespecting their previous commander just to show off his own strength is childish. I might drop after next chapter because I’ve just made myself angry recalling what an unlikable person MC is. 🤦
