@melaeyn I understand what you’re saying and of course relationships evolve with time. That’s a given. But IMO ending in a relationship with a “parent” blood or not is bizarre on a lot of levels. But that’s just me. I don’t know what gave you the idea that I couldn’t think for myself when you don’t even know me. If something is ok for you and not for me, we can just agree to disagree and move on. No need to try to put down or judge the other party. For example, i’m not assuming that you’re the over permissive type and that for you everything and anything goes in the name of “love” 😊

@Koba09 weird? sure. But as a parent (MC), you don’t treat a 20yr like you did when they were toddlers, children, teenagers, and vice versa. Your interactions change with them as they grow up, over time. Considering there’s no blood relation at all… while it is weird, in a way, it’s not as cut and dry as you’re trying to make it out to be.
Simply put… you’re projecting.
Applying societal morals/customs to a situation without comprehending them because you’ve been taught what to think, not how to think.
