As she said, Ian’s home is comforting. People forgot that she was from a family that went bankrupt. There are probably a lot of people from poor commoners to nobles that wanted to screw her because of her family grudges or just for fun. It was Ian who saved her from that. It was Ian who provided him with everything that she wanted. It was even portrayed that their first life, Ian was actually very good to her and their relationship is fine and respectful. The only problem here is the FL who can’t be contended with life to the point that the doctor was able to manipulate them. ML has mental illness, while FL is a naive doormat with plot armors.

He killed her in her first life, but she still chased after him in her second life and actually proposed to him….then became an accomplice to a crime and ended up in prison….she managed to screw up her second life so far…I really hope they end up with different people..

I feel like we’re forgetting how ian too mess up. I mean, see, he went to war when I begged him not to, kind of like how she went to jail. He pushed her away when he was at the war then when she proposed to him. Yet Madeline was very understanding and kept pursuing him. Then when she went to jail, he didn’t visit her nor did he pick her up. Honestly if I were in her place, I too would want to start anew.

I really hope this is one of those stories were they end up with different people. I like Maddy’s character a lot but Ian deserves a much better partner than Maddy. She got 2 chances at life and managed to fuck him up both times
