Solo Leveling explained the system well. It’s due to us being familiar with videogames and stuff that the system is the way it is.
As for the Minotaur reward it was a never discovered hidden boss and I don’t think they were able to keep the axe.

The reward for the minotaur makes no sense and shows poor worldbuilding. I mean, it would make sense if the minotaur was wandering aroung treating suply routes, human life, the ecosystem and the economy then there’s a reason to PAY someone to get rid of it, however, in this case not only the monster was inside a dungeon, where only adventurers that want to fight him would go but he is “protected” by three hidden conditions, so it poses no threat to civilians or the majority of adventurers. What would make sense would be if they sold the monster loot (leather, horns, theet, etc) OR at very least selling the information of the hidden requirements to spawn the boss, but paying to kill it the way is shown in the manhwa is like paying a bonus to a factory worker that went outside and stacked a 10m high pile of random rocks, it sure is impressive but what does that benefit the business?
Also, this “system” bs is getting old, why not put a bit more effort to create a magic/skills systems that integrates the world naturally?
