   @vazzarta. I agree. Actually the ML is also weak. This story is mediocre with characters failing to live up to authors description of their abilities and mental faculties. I have read the novel and it’s so-so. I’m not expecting to read every novel has OP protagonists (they are in a sense in this one) but Agnes and Rowan lack the intellect and emotional maturity, and there is barely any character growth.

   This is one of those books where the character traits that the author described doesn’t reflect on the characters actions. MC is described as strong and smart knight as well as excellent entrepreneur/business woman. And also Excellent strategist. But how does she not know that she’s being used for abilities? Used as money making machine and not even given a shred of respect. And her husband literally lies to her face and she fucking believes it??? This man didn’t even sleep with her but MC literally bleeds herself for this man like he’s the only one in this world that’s left for her. And she does nothing!!! All those smarts, strength and beauty for what?? I’ll go ahead any say that all her misfortune is because of her inaction and indecisiveness.

   Idk what y’all onto. I absolutely hated this. MC is OP with doormat personality.
   Everything about this is absolute nonsense.
   MC literally left her knightage because her dead mother’s wish was for her to get married and have a normal family. (This was the same mother who was not involved in MC’s upbringing because she was sick and the father was too busy looking after his wife that he was practically absent through out her childhood. And the father literally disowns her. And guess what MC does? She gives up everything she worked for for this sorry excuse of mother and father and goes off to marry some divorced man who has kids. And not to mention that they don’t consummate the marriage at all in 3 years but absolutely treat her as a waste of space even though MC works hard to make money and give her no recognition for her work, doesn’t give her any money, even takes away her dowry, and even the kids she looked after doesn’t give her a shit. And what does MC do? She does nothing. She lets them walk all over her like she’s a fucking doormat. And then enters the grandfather. Who did absolutely nothing MC and her siblings grew up almost like orphans because their parents were too busy with each other, and even made MC give up her life for a dead woman’s wish and then has gall to summon MC when he was the one who had zero involvement in MC’s life but suddenly proposes MC to join dukedom as family as she should have years ago and MC literally bursts into tears hearing that she wasn’t abandoned??
