Rene doesn’t sound stupid at all, you’re forgetting that Lian isn’t her friend, but the real Rene’s friend. + the fact Lian does not in fact like the crown prince is very obvious, so obviously og Rene would want to pursue her love still and thinking she will still have a chance because Lian knows Rene likes the cp.I
