Don’t get me wrong, but the mom was smart in a way. If she left Alphius behind who’s younger he would’ve been more suseptible to enemy’s brain washing. Along with the fact that another prince would be a threat to Bastian the king’s biased heir. Leaving behind the older daughter should’ve increased her motive for revenge, but since the mom is a bxtch like Pamela, FL didn’t develop any deep loyalty for said revenge plot. She should’ve planted a few “loyal” maids or servants that “survived” to manipulate FL as she grew up. So she attained a mixed perspective that made her more righteous? I think Alman was sort of in the same boat as her, thinking his pops was a cringey simp. But still he was stupid and should’ve stayed as her loyal childhood friend so they’d be close enough for her to listen to seeds of doubt. “Aye yo, so blood relations aren’t everything…I know you miss your mom, but was she always that great? Remember the time she forced you to work 48 straight when you were 7?”
