1. Intimacy is uncomfortable.
2. He finds it difficult to trust.
3. He has a drive to feel independent.
4. He finds emotions difficult.
5. He generally feels detached.
6. He finds it difficult to ask for help and be vulnerable.
7. He is disconnected from his needs.
8. Avoidance is a defense mechanism to protect himself.

But he’s such a sweetheart, and I think that once he can overcome some of these things, he and Yoomin can get together, since she’s pretty much over her ex (but still committed to the ploy of making her ex feel jealous and that she wants to help Hyundo since he helped her not to mention she enjoys spending time with him).
