   It depends on how strong the opponent is and how complex the command is. As you can see from the early chapter it is difficult to control powerful monsters and is easy to control small monsters like goblin’s. Also, while some command like halt did work on the earth commander demon, none other works. That is why rin cannot use domination on the demons. It would be only possible after becoming more stronger than the current level.
