@Slyvannis – honestly? I kinda agree. It’s not fun to read. It’s annoying and overdone and obnoxious. Perhaps because I’m not a ‘normie’ but I genuinely can’t relate to these tropes at all. Harems are never done well, love triangles stop being a thing after high school at the latest because ideally adults would COMMUNICATE, and only once have I seen anything even remotely close to a polycule, and that was just a ‘reverse harem’ ending at best. So tired of it, tbh. I have to avoid the urge to skip al lthe content with the 2nd ML’s etc because they never actually have any payoff anyways. They’re almost always purely plot devices and caring about them results in nothing but being let down over and over and over again at best. Waste of time on infuriating nonsense at worst. It’s rare that other potential interests are every anything more than a tool to get the main couple to finally admit their feelings or prove just how ‘beautiful’ and ‘wanted by everyone’ the MC is – no substance.

In this case, Rune was ALWAYS a waste of time. And a total creep/stalker/manipulative at his worst. I’m not sad to see him go, nor have his heart broken over finally wanting something for the first time in his ambitionless and boring life. Maybe now he’ll show some drive to be the kind of person someone like Vivi can fall in love with without needing to be a vulnerable young girl who can’t run away while kidnapping her… Nor trying to claim something that never once belonged to him and never once consented to belonging to him. He was ALWAYS someone barking up the wrong tree after a toy that wasn’t his and would never be his, so all this time spent on him feels like vapid and empty motions that are suposed to be entertaining and I simply find to be a waste of time on someone who’s never once been likeable or kind. No ulterior motives??? Honey, he wants to possess you and never let you leave. He wants to covet you. Your pheremones drive him and the fox lady to covet you. That’s THE ulterior motive of all ulterior motives!

Bad writing on that part, IMO. And tbh, I’d rather Vivi was stolen by the fox than by Rune – at least the Vixen is honest and straightforward about her affections and intent and always has been.
