I really can’t justify sympathy for that trash guide. They’re too stupid and cowardly. He really gave them sooooo many chances to be on his side. They got blinded by greed and didn’t even realize that the pot was empty when they played their best hand. I mean seriously, that confrontation, like what did they expect the mc to do? Maybe turn back to town? But why agree bring him there in the first place? Give them more items? But when they go up to the surface (obviously they need mc to survive the dungeon) what’s to stop him from taking everything back? It’s just a really stupid decision and thus a stupid death.
It feels like that tribe purposely kill adventurers to keep that boss sealed. However, they were too dumb to realize that what’s keeping the monsters from eating them was the very same guy who they were trying to kill 🤦🏻♂️
