To my understanding, basically, ethan and belkiel was a god, and sharhwina was the first high priest and rayton was ethan’s descendant, and that he closely resembles him so he got half his power as explained when ethan first met belkiel again and he can absorb ethan’s remaining power. So belkiel was worried that ethan would disappear and after that rayton would have been confused because of ethan’s memory and his coexist in him and would go rampage. So he’s not a reincarnation of ethan but a vessel? And I feel like setz is the reincarnation of Sharhwina. My theory is ethan woke up when Setz died in rayton’s hand and turned back time. But i don’t know, even the characters are confused and needed answers 🤣 Hahaha
