What @Bella khiangte said explains a lot. I often felt like some things were left out, and this chapter is the biggest example. It just felt like we were jumping scenes left and right 🤦♀️

I really recommend reading the novel, though the artwork is great along with Ben being an eye candy, but the manhwa misses out on too much. It’s like a focused version of Grace’s feelings, which paint Benjamin in a negative light. Since 80% of what’s mentioned about him is edited out, it makes him look like a clumsy and careless husband. However, in the novel, he’s actually (an overly) respectful, lenient, caring, observant, gentle, and (annoyingly) patient husband. Although his actions are always calculating af, and sus 24/7, he’s crazy weak and obsessed with his wife, and poses no threat(for Grace,to be precise, he had what modern people called psychopathic tendency). The manhwa did no justice to his commitment and emotions. He was desperate, but he kept it in for the sake of his sick wife, whom he loves dearly.
