I like how realistic the author view about depression is. Because a body with depression is a brain (the organ) who change negatively. And so she will need a lot of work before making that brain healthy again !

I like this point of view. It’s like she really possessed the body. Depression is a illness and not just a state of mind. The obsessive thoughts are clearly reminding us about that. No matter if you try to change just your mind. Sometimes, we need help from medicine and it’s okay

How I hope the book goes;
1. She doesn’t lose weight bc she’s not overweight or obese she’s just not bones and skin and doesn’t fit the standards. Also she lacks stamina not cos of her weight but just health and strength, u can lack stamina and be completely unhealthy as a skinny person.
2. The self esteem, hallucinating and depression is outlined as a health issue specifically a mental one and they can do whatever magic they want with that like say it’s a curse cos of the mouths.
It probably won’t do 1 but I think 2 is likely. If not outright saying it’s a mental health issue at least the curse bit

To those who are saying that the FL is “soooo freaking negative”, I woukd like to remind that :
1 – in her prevous life she was so sick that she couldn’t even walk…
2 – the body she reincarneted in, was the one of a woman who had a lot of complex (and we don’t know but maybe had a lot of troma too)

I think she’s cute. And feel for her having to deal with “Grace’s” depression and body dysmorphia on top of her own issues related to being isekai’d away from her life in a hospital bed.
But I really want her to pick up on the clues that her husband deeply loves her sooner rather than later.

I honestly didn’t even notice that the FL was fat and I still don’t even now☹️ I really don’t understand why artists keep insisting on a super model level type of skinniness when in the regency era, having a little bit of fat and even a double chin was considered attractive
