In case anyone is wondering, every time the duke uses his sword to fight monsters, he loses an emotion. Once all his emotions are gone, he can’t use his power (& he dies, i think). Without that power the monsters take over. All the previous dukes had the same problem. The increase in monsters means he loses emotions faster than previous generations. FL was accepted as his wife because she’s the first person in a long time to create a new emotion in him: annoyance 😂😂😂😅
