It must be manhwa companies not wanting too much original “risky” new ideas from authors. They just pump out stuff like WMMAP then create a whole genre of lesser generic stories to mooch of the viewers. (Which I don’t mind, sometimes they have unique twists that set them apart)

What’s the point of bringing up korean past lives? They just do it to credit it their “modern” knowledge in another world, but ancient people were geniuses, too! There’s a giant sundial that would tell you the time, day, month, season, and year. Japan had some of the first home security devices in castles called “Nightingale floors”. It would be more interesting if they came up with these things on their own or just past life knowledge, since this theme is so overly used.
It’s not really a big deal to me, but I miss the stories from a a couple years ago that kept coming from the “real” world relevant. I see it in stories where the FL gets randomly or forced sent back to her world and the ML freaks. (Sometimes he ends up going there to find her with comedic culture shock, but then gets addicted to junk food.) Or that one webtoon comic “The fabled warrior” <It's pretty unique it kept me engaged for awhile until I forgot about it after their season break r.i.p 😅
