Clearly, from how the prince talks about the duke, he doesn’t see others as people in the same way he is, more as tools he can use as he sees fit. When a tool is no longer useful and has something on you that could prove dangerous you don’t just let it go for someone else to use against you, you destroy it. I don’t know if he would actually kill Matilda, the point is just that Matilda needs to believe he would. I feel bad for her sibling, but not for her because seriously.

There’s no excuse for what the ex employee did. She’s a snake and deserves whatever the prince does to her. You don’t get to treat people cruelly and justify it by saying it’s to help someone.
PS I don’t understand why the prince would kill her when the bakery closes. Was the OG ML supposed to be a psychopath?
