You guys really don’t understand, do you? Claude actually likes Melody more than anyone on the Baldwin House. Claude is just very cunning and shrude as to not show his real feeling to others, espically to Melody. The thing about hte whole marriage deal was probably him trying to gauge her feelings about him as he wants her to marry him and become the wife of Claude Baldwin.
Man, I don’t think the ML will be in my good books anytime soon… That Ronnie kid, though. He’s much closer to her age and he’s pretty cute. Claude, on the other hand, it feels as if his behaviour is artificial and he’s way older than her… Mate, the only reason I’m still reading this is Melody and Loretta’s friendship, at this point. And also the Higgins.
I would’ve rejected that prisoner offer and ask her for another, but like I’m also wondering why she asked that, no clue whatsoever about what she’s thinking of
The ML isn’t growing on me yet. It feels like his niceness is a facade and he’s taking advantage of Melody. He knows she wants to be on his good side since he’s such a beta siscon, and he’s exploiting that.
I’m sure this book was supposed to be a sweet gesture but it just felt like an excuse so he can make her work more. It doesn’t feel like something she really owns, it feels like a name tag you get at work. Sure, it’s technically yours, but it’s from and ultimately is part of a much bigger system than you. And you’re at the very bottom no matter what.
Hopefully the tables turn and he has to prove himself to her as a potential husband. it’s clear she doesn’t think of him like that and probably won’t for a while, and I want to see him drop whatever act he has up.
Hell, at this point, I like her better with the black haired kid, he’s more human than this kid.
