Melody needs to confront her mother and settle things with her. She needs to conclude her relationship with her mother so that she can move on with her life; not just abandon the relationship with a lot of unsolved excess baggage. But I do understand Issaiah’s point of view. Melody is like his little sister and no brother would willing put their little sister through emotional trauma. While Issaiah is correct, Claude is also correct. Like everyone said, Melody needs to confront her mother, but she needs to do it together with Issaiah, and Claude if possible. If Melody and Issaiah confront Melody’s mother together, Issaiah can actually act as a pillar to reinforce Melody so that she does not collapse in front of her mother. With this Melody can finally put his past behind him, and move on.
As someone who was raised by a very abusive grandma, I know how much the ML cares and how emotionally mature he is. He understands that getting answers will bring Mel closure. All my childhood, I tried so hard to be loved by my grandma, despite the abuse, the lack of attention and everything she’s done. Then, I was thrilled when I finally reached adulthood I severed ties with her. But just a few months later, she fell terribly heal and pleaded everyday to see me. I guess, just like Mel’mom, she was just beeing selfish and wanted to go with “no remorse”. I didn’t want to get hurt again so I refused, and she died not long after. I was somewhat relieved (it’s an awful thing to say) but at the same time, for almost one year, I couldn’t get over the fact that I didn’t at least get the answer to my questions, to why she was like this, that I didn’t at least empty my bag about how much I was hurt, how much she made me live hell. Well, I understood too late that I was just running away and didn’t even get a proper closure and confront her about everything, in order to better start anew. Of course I get that Isaiah is worried, but he also isn’t emotionally mature enough to understand how much it’s important for Mel’s new chapter in life to confront her mother one last time.
Wth- This is Irritating~ I don’t like the ml…….First~ It was fl’s fault for lying to Isaiyah, He just worried about her, that’s all, She should apologise atleast…Second~ This ml is trying to be oversmart, He is just too much……
I think the reason the Duke and little Duke want her to see her mother is that it’s her last chance to confront her and get closure. But she should not go alone. She’s still young and vulnerable.
